Job Title: Marketing Associate
Reports to: Marketing Manager

Support marketing strategies and ensure that all initiatives are consistent with company values and mission.
Implement marketing initiatives in a timely manner according to marketing strategy and communications calendar. The position requires excellent communication and project management skills as you will be implementing projects that involve the collaboration between departments.
Key skills and experience for this position include excellent writing and content creation skills, general marketing knowledge, and working in a database environment such as Access.
a. Create weekly electronic newsletter.
b. Regularly create content for various social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, blogging, Pinterest, etc.) and maintain weekly communications calendar.
c. Process donation requests.
d. Assist with design and creation of marketing materials to promote the company including brochures, pamphlets and advertisements (both print and online).
e. Propose and explore partnership, advertising, and event opportunities.
f. Represent Boston Organics at various events.
g. Create reports from proprietary database on demand.
h. Assist with marketing initiatives for all Boston Organics’ stakeholders with strong emphasis on Retail, Business, and internal employees.
2. Website Support
a. Collect, organize, and write timely website content (i.e., holiday schedules, new product info).
3. Product management
a. Support new product and service development
b. Work with Purchasing to ensure accuracy of product information (i.e., changes to product descriptions and availability).
i. Assist with implementation of monthly and seasonal promotions to meet mutually agreed upon target sales.

Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience / Training:
This is an entry level position. We are seeking someone with up to 2 years of marketing experience. Excellent writing skills required. Interest in organics and knowledge of produce a plus. Grocery or food service industry experience desirable.
