Land’s Sake Farm hiring Several Positions

Weston, Massachusetts

Land’s Sake Farm in Weston, MA is a 25-acre farm growing a wide array of vegetables using ecologically sustainable methods. We are part of an organization that connects people to the land through farming, outdoor education, forestry, and a wide array of community events and conservation initiatives. Our farm grows for a long-running CSA as well as a busy farm stand. We also donate much of our produce to charitable food access organizations.

We are currently hiring for several positions:

– Full-time Assistant Growers will start April 2 and end late October or November. Assistant growers will participate in many aspects of running the farm including greenhouse work, planting, harvesting, CSA distribution, and general farm tasks. Depending on experience and interest, Assistant Growers may also take on more advanced tasks like tractor work, crew leadership, and project management. This position requires at least one year of experience growing vegetables.
– Field Crew: This position is ideal for those with some experience working in outdoor/physical jobs who are looking to hone a wide range of farming skills without a full-time commitment. Field Crew members will participate in a wide range of field work including planting, harvesting, weeding, and tomato staking and tying. This position is 2-3 days a week from early June to mid September.
– Weeding Crew: This position is a great fit for those who want a part-time farming experience, mornings only, 4 days per week from late May through the end of August. The weeding crew is an integral part of keeping our organically-grown crops thriving despite weed pressure. Many weeding crew members have loved it so much they decided to persue a career in farming!

All employees receive free produce from the farm and worker’s compensation. Pay is $10-$12 per hour depending on position and experience. Housing is not provided.

All positions require an excellent work ethic, good endurance for physical outdoor labor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with others.
