New Entry Sustainable Farming Project hiring Beginning Farmer Resource Coordinator

The New Entry Sustainable Farming Project, an innovative and comprehensive beginning farmer training program in Massachusetts, is seeking a full-time, year-round Beginning Farmer Resource Coordinator, to begin early June.  The position is based in Lowell, MA with statewide travel required.  Competitive salary and full benefits.  Participants from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.  Cross-cultural and farm business experience required.

The main duties of this position are to:

  • Manage our statewide Beginning Farmer Network (BFN/Mass), including an active service provider network, referral service, and online resource portal.
  • Assist farmers with self-assessment, learning plan development, and case management services for farmers entering New Entry’s training programs.
  • Develop curriculum and teach new farmer courses (in person and online/web-based), workshops, and field-based trainings, and
  • Provide continuing technical assistance and farm business planning services to graduates and alumni of our training programs operating their own farms.
