Marks Meat, Inc. is a family owned meat processing plant that has been in operation since 1963. We currently specialize in processing lamb and beef. The majority of our customers are small farmers and ranchers.
A strong focus on quality, and customer service are the foundation of our business. Our processing plant is USDA inspected, allowing our customers the added flexibility of marketing their animals through many different channels. We believe in utilizing humane animal handling standards for all livestock that are processed at our plant.
We are currently seeking a full time employee that is a motivated, dedicated individual who is interested in learning the trade and assisting us in transitioning into the next phase of our business. This is an entry level position that will transition to a management position in order to assist us in managing the everyday running of the plant. Wage will be based on experience and promotion potential is available.
Providing good customer service
Cutting and preparing all varieties and cut of meat, including the safe operation of tools
Assisting in animal harvest
Moving meat from coolers to cutting area and returning meat to coolers
Assisting in other duties as assigned
Able and willing to read, write and perform simple math problems
Able and willing to provide friendly, courteous, prompt customer service
Able and willing to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems
Able and willing to work well with others as a team member
Leadership skills are a plus
No previous meat cutting experience is necessary if the employee is eager and willing to learn
