We ask for 30 hr of help a week (more or less, weather/project permitting).

There is a 2 week trial period the see if there is a mutual fit.

* I am a certified Permaculture teacher and if you’d like put in the 72 hrs of study and extra work it takes to receive a PDC certificate we can work out a schedule while your here

Long-term goals include building a greenhouse, outdoor kitchen/shower, developing a food forest/orchard, mushroom cultivation,  creating natural wildlife habitats/sanctuaries, & sustainable forestry.

We are passionate about sharing what we know which includes Permaculture, Biodynamics, herbalism, food preservation and sprouting, homemaking and natural body products. We are anxious to learn from the interns as well.

Housing for the interns will be in the main house with comfortable space in the large workshop to relax, read or watch a movie. We can accommodate vegan/vegetarian diets, an outdoor grill is provided for meat/fish eaters.

Drugs, tobacco and alcohol are not permitted at Sundog.

Sundog is 30 miles east of Missoula, which has too many recreational and cultural activities to list, let alone the farmer’s markets and music. We are close (a few hours) to Glacier National Park, and minutes from the Blackfoot River (A River Runs Through It).
