Great Camp Sagamore, National Historic Landmark, located in Raquette Lake, NY is looking for a head chef for the 2016 season, which runs from May 7th until October 25th. This position is responsible for the oversight and preparation of 3 meals a day for up to 85 people and other meals as needed. The chef will create and implement a bimonthly menu drawing from Sagamore’s historic traditions and local ingredients (when available). The menu will offer a variety of new and signature dishes to help define the Sagamore experience. In addition to the meals served at Sagamore’s Dining Hall, this position provides food for our on-site cafe including daily muffins, cookies, to-go sandwiches, wraps, soup and other items.
The chef is responsible for performing the overall administrative duties ranging from ordering food and supplies, to adhering to a seasonal budget.
