Sales Associate for Boston area farmers’ markets
Stillman’s is a sustainable fruit and vegetable farm in Central Massachusetts supported by farmers’ markets, sales to restaurants, and CSA. Our farm is seeking a sales associate for Boston area farmers’ markets and CSA deliveries. Responsibilities would include assisting loading the truck in the morning,driving the truck from the New Braintree farm to Boston or other location, setting up displays, interacting with the public, interfacing with chefs and restaurant owners, distributing CSA boxes and most importantly, representing the farm. The market/CSA position is mainly May through November but there is always general greenhouse and farm work available if the applicant is interested in making this a full time, year round job.
Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, good people skills, ability to lift heavy boxes repeatedly, a great attitude, ability to handle sometimes stressful situations, willingness to learn, and an interest in farming and retail sales. A love of great food and flair for display would be helpful.
Salary will be based on the number of markets or CSA deliveries attended during the week. Employees have access to free produce to take home and will be rewarded with other perks for a job well done.

Full time Orchard manager, Stillman’s Farm, New Braintree, MA
Stillman’s Farm is seeking a full time Farm and orchard manager for diverse fruit and vegetable farm in Central Massachusetts. Specific duties will involve overseeing all aspects of small fruits and orchard production. Other duties may include assisting with cultivation and harvest of a multitude of vegetable crops, organizing CSA packing and pickup, loading market trucks, seeding or transplanting in the greenhouses or fields, deliveries of plants and produce, and possibly attending a farmers’ market or CSA delivery.
Knowledge of equipment, crop pests, pruning, spray programs, soils, harvesting, and storage is preferred. Understanding of small greens production would be a bonus. Some experience required, BUT, more importantly, is an eagerness and ability to learn.
Candidates must be physically fit have a strong work ethic and be mentally able. This is a challenging job but rewarding with lots of possibilities for growth. A great attitude and ability to work with others are a must. The ability to work closely with the owners and desire to grow with the farm is essential.
Position starts at $600/week and free access to amazing fruits and vegetables.
