Willowsford Farm is a 300 acre, non-certified organic farm ten minutes south of Leesburg, Virginia and thirty miles west of Washington, DC. We grow mixed vegetables, raise livestock for eggs and meat, and manage a small herd of goats who perform land management services. We sell through a diversified CSA and Farm Stand. Our CSA is 280 members and growing. As farmers we work to promote soil health, care for our livestock holistically and produce nutritious, flavorful food.

Our farm is part of a unique multi-functional landscape that supports agricultural production, ecological services, and residential neighborhoods.

Farm Crew

Full-season Vegetable Crew are involved in all aspects of farm production: seeding, planting, cultivating, mulching, harvesting, washing and distributing produce, and occasionally caring for and processing laying hens and meat birds. We work hard, have fun and have a tight farmily – join us.  Farm Crew is a paid, hourly position. We are seeking both Full Time and Part Time crew members.

Farm-to-Market Liaison

Farm to Market Liaison is a full-time, paid, hourly position, with a focus on managing the flow of operations between vegetable production and market sales. The Farm to Market Liaison is involved in specific aspects of farm production including: harvesting, washing and distributing produce, as well as aspects of running the Farm Market and CSA operation including: stocking produce, record keeping, and sales.

Strawberry Crew

May is strawberry season, which is a great way to taste what it’s like to do farm work.  It is hard, sometimes uncomfortable, but a lot of fun.  Strawberry season is a 3-4 week generally in May, depending on the spring.  We ask you to commit to at least 3-4 days a week, 4 hours a day, generally every other day.  If you’re interested you can work more days than that.  Sometimes if we have another project folks will stay to help.  We can pay $8/hour or by the piece if you think you’re big-time.  Big bucks!  You get to take some strawberries home, too, of course.

Farm Stand

Farm Stand team members are friendly and motivated individuals, with a passion for local, seasonal food and sustainable farming, to join our farm stand team. If this is you, you are also polite, articulate and quick with a smile, and like to prepare and eat fresh produce and whole foods.  The job is working the farm stand – set-up and break-down, assisting customers, running the register.  You will need to recognize different kinds of produce and food items, understand and articulate where they come from and how they are produced, and be a whiz with our iPad registers. You will also recognize when items need to be re-stocked and to restock them.  Part-time positions, combine great with part-time farm crew if you want full-time work.
