This full-time position provides an exciting opportunity to work in the rapidly developing field of Farm-to School. Candidate will work closely with staff deeply knowledgeable of local food system, but will be actively involved in program creation and managing relationships with partners. Requires an organized and self-motivated candidate committed to local food. We are looking for someone with experience in project management, who can work as well alone as they do in team settings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Duties

About the positions:

JUICING AND PRODUCE HELPER (Hopewell NJ)
compensation: Pay is commensurate with experience.

This position is for a full time person to help with our cold-pressed juice production, and to help with the preparation of freshly picked produce for wholesale and retail outlets. We are looking for someone who can be on time in the mornings and work independently on a busy family farm. You will be working in a climate controlled purpose built barn so no need to worry about the Jersey summer heat. The facilities are well maintained and new with all the necessary tools and equipment at your disposal. Currently we are juicing twice a week, we may increase this to three depending on our demand. The days and times we are not juicing we are harvesting and need the produce washed, prepped and packed into our walk-in coolers in an organized and timely manner. You will need to be able to lift at least 40lbs to do this effectively. There is a break-room and bathroom close at hand and plenty of produce to take home at the end of the day.

We are willing to train for this position so don’t worry if you have no experience in these tasks. We only ask that you have good availability during the week and that you are punctual and reliable. We are not looking for weekend availability with the position.

 FARMERS MARKET LEAD (Up to 1 hour from 08525)
