Come work for the slow food movement for Ludwig Farmstead Creamery (“LFC”), a small artisan farmstead creamery located in Fithian Illinois. We make a variety of award-winning artisan raw cow’s milk cheeses in small batches on our 5th generation farm.  We are looking for a hard-working individual interested in joining our company. You will perform a variety of day-to-day activities including packaging, cheese-cutting, and other general duties, and eventually be trained to make our award winning artisan cheeses! No experience necessary, training is provided.

Job Duties

  • Keep supplies and equipment clean and organized

  • Must be willing to work indoors/outdoors in all kinds of weather.

Vegetable Farmer

A Full-time, year-round vegetable farmer position growing certified organic/biodynamic vegetables in the southern Catskills of New York. Thanksgiving Farm is owned and operated by the Center for Discovery, a large non-profit organization, which is also the farm’s principal customer. We also run a 300 member CSA. Wolf Meadow Farm is a small artisan cheesemaking creamery in Amesbury, MA. All of our milk comes from local, grass-based ladies who give us some of the best milk for cheesemaking. Our concept is “Import the Cheesemaker, not the Cheese.”

We are looking for two passionate, hard working apprentices to join our team ASAP.
Experience in cheese making preferred, but not required. Those without any related experience will only be considered if they can demonstrate a real passion and willingness to work.

Cheese Apprenticeship Details/Requirements:

Candidates that are interested in this position must be passionate about cheesemaking and eager to learn all aspects of the trade. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cheese making, equipment maintenance, cleaning and sanitizing and more. Must have the ability to stand long hours. We are looking for people who have previous experience in the food industry, specifically with sanitation and cleanliness. Great people skills is also a must! We are a small crew here at Wolf Meadow Farm and are looking to add someone who fits perfectly within our passionate cheesemaking culture!

Compensation: We will provide a stipend starting at $1000/month.

Wolf Meadow Farm is looking to add passionate cheese lovers to our growing team! We produce high quality mozzarella and other Italian cheeses in Amesbury, MA. All of our cheeses are made by hand in small batches using time-honored methods passed down from generations of Italian Cheesemakers. We are opening a space in the Boston Public Market at the end of July and are looking to staff that space with people who love food (and cheese!) and are passionate about working hard with great people.

Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to – Educating customers on all things related to Wolf Meadow Farm cheeses, selling, wrapping and taking payment for cheese products, preparing panini’s, cleaning and prep work, opening and closing register, standing long hours, and more.
