Farm Description: Warner Farm is a diversified small fruit and vegetable farm located in Sunderland, Ma. We grow both certified organic and IPM crops and sell wholesale produce throughout the Pioneer Valley as well as operate a CSA and farmers markets in Eastern Massachusetts. In the fall, Warner Farm is also home to Mike’s Maze, the Pioneer Valley’s world famous corn maze.

Job Description: This position is responsible for generating, coordinating, and promoting events and group visits during fall for Mike’s Maze. Example of events are Chilifest, Dog Walker’s weekend, birthday parties, school groups, etc.

Duties include: communicating with vendors for maze events; communicating with guests about private events; coordinating events on the day the event is happening and ensuring activities are running smoothly; solicit new business for rental of farm facilities; helping brainstorm new and exciting events; helping to create and distribute promotional material for maze events.

Requirements:
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills
An outgoing personality
Good management skills

Preferred:
Sales experience
Previous Farm experience

Events Coordinator

The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association has an immediate opening for a half-time Events Coordinator.

The Events Coordinator will work with Educational Programs, Agricultural Services, and other MOFGA staff and volunteers as appropriate to manage logistics for MOFGA’s educational meetings, programs, and events. This position is currently funded for 20 hours per week on average. Intensity of schedule will vary and will be dictated by seasonal demands of MOFGA’s events calendar, with significant pulses in the fall and spring of the year. Some availability on nights and weekends is required.
