Cooper Farms is a 300 acre peach farm that is located in Fairfield Texas. Cooper Farms Supplies HEB and other grocery store with fresh produce. We grow plums, figs, nectarines, donut peaches and white peaches as well. Cooper Farms also grows some vegetables to supply its retail store. Cooper Farms sells roughly half of its crop wholesale and the other half retail through its country store and roadside trucks. Cooper Farms is family owned and operated.
Full Time- Year around-Permeant position
The Farm Manger will work closely with the crew to plant, thin, harvest, and prune throughout the year. Cooper Farms is looking for a fast paced highly motivated individual who can keep productivity high. The right candidate should be easy going, passionate, work well alone and with a group. Candidates must be able to safely lift and carry 50 lbs., have a valid driver’s license, and the ability and interest to work long hours outside in any type of weather. Candidates should be able to drive and operate a tractor and will need to have an agricultural background. The candidate will need to be able to problem solve and look for ways to be more efficient.
Salary will start out at $50,000 per year and after a 3 month probationary period to determine if the candidate is the right fit for Cooper Farms then the Farm Manager salary will be increased to $60,000 per year. Continued increase over time is possible. Possible living quarters may be available.

We grow vegetables, small fruits and cut flowers on 55 acres of crop land along the Powow River in South Hampton, NH. Our produce is marketed through our farm stand in South Hampton, farmers markets in several locations, CSA and wholesale. We’ve been farming here for almost 20 years, on the site of a longstanding farm. We love our work and are happy to share our knowledge with curious minds.
We are currently hiring for several full time seasonal openings on our harvest crew. We are busy until Thanksgiving bringing in storage crops and other cold hardy vegetables. Harvest work can be dirty and does require the ability to lift baskets of produce weighing 50 pounds multiple times a day. Besides harvest, other duties include washing vegetables and occasional planting. Driver’s license required, as we use farm vehicles throughout the day.

River Bluff Organic Farm offering internship opportunity for 2012 growing season.
Over 80 varieties of vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers are grown on this small 5-acre farm. Organic methods are employed using manure and green cover crops as the basis for compost. The primary purpose of the farm is to provide healthy, chef-inspired organic food to about 40 local families through a CSA. Eggs and broilers are also offered in shares.
The internship involves a season-specific curriculum, with hands-on skill building. Interns will be work side by side with the field manager completing many tasks over the course of the growing season. Interns will spend time in the greenhouse planting seeds and handling seedlings. In the field interns will work to prepare the soil bed for planting, plant and transplant seedlings, irrigate, and hand-pick bugs as a means of pest management, weed, and harvest produce. Interns will also assist in the sorting and boxing of produce on CSA pick-up days. Interns will also be responsible for fulfilling other tasks as needed. Continue reading
