Fresh Picks Farmer Alliance Sales Representative
Call on wholesale prospects to sell local farm products.
- Identify prospects
- Make sales calls and visits
- Open Wholesale Accounts and increase sales.
- Assess potential needs and interest
- Maintain relationships and good communications
- Demonstrate product knowledge including pricing and availability and enthusiasm
- Take orders and communicate with buyers. Prepare contracts, invoices and availability sheets
- Organize system for tracking and follow-up
- Outgoing and upbeat personality
- Good communication and listening skills
- Highly motivated, innovative and persistent
- Good organization and attention to detail
- Excited about growing the supply of organic foods from local farmers
- Sales experience. Knowledge of and experience working with vegetables and fruits a plus
Compensation and Benefits: $35,000 to $45,000 annually plus commission based upon experience. 1 week vacation, paid holidays, employee discount of 20% on our local organic foods.
Hours and Location: Full-time. Meetings at headquarters in Niles. Can be home-based. Service clients throughout Chicago region.

Fresh Picks offers internet ordering and delivery of local and organic fresh foods to individual households, businesses and institutions in the Chicago region. Wholesale Business Manager
Farm Description: Warner Farm is a diversified small fruit and vegetable farm located in Sunderland, Ma. We grow both certified organic and IPM crops and sell wholesale produce throughout the Pioneer Valley as well as operate a CSA and farmers markets in Eastern Massachusetts.
Job Description: This position is responsible for overseeing the farm’s wholesale accounts and pack house activities. Wholesale is one of the primary marketing outlets for the farm and this is a central position in the overall farm operation. This position would likely involve some basic tractor work and filling in with other assorted farm tasks as needed
Duties include: communicating with wholesale customers; establishing availability lists and distributing them to customers; compiling orders and creating invoices daily; coordinating harvests with crew leaders and other farm management; managing crop washing and packing in our main packing house and managing a packing house crew; maintaining and cleaning vegetable washing equipment and area; coordinating deliveries and pick-ups; basic tractor work such as harrowing, cultivating, field prep, etc.
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills and an outgoing personality
Good management skills
Ability to lift up to 40lb
Previous farm and tractor driving experience
Experience with Quickbooks
